We are looking for a Public Relations intern who brings a can-do mentality, takes initiative, and makes things happen. We have a lot of opportunities ahead, and our PR intern will play a key role in pushing the organization forward.
As our team is constantly testing and experimenting with new approaches and ways of work, we are looking for someone who wants to learn, but it will be a great start if you already have some PR experience. Your primary responsibilities will be to monitor and track media coverage and to compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly coverage summaries and reports. You will do light media outreach, pitch development, and material prep, participate in broader marketing brainstorms and initiatives, and help potential news hooks based on relevant and trending news. You’ll also work closely with our social media manager to amplify PR coverage and support our earned media efforts.
You will need to understand the overall company strategy, such as our brand, customers, and product goals, as you will help all PR efforts for Lifesum.
You have the courage to both take initiative and be accountable for what you do. Your social skills, willingness to learn, optimism, and "can-do" attitude will make you, your colleagues and our company thrive. You are expected to have a strong work ethic and good organizational skills. But also remember, that the company is what we make of it and you also need to be open and communicate well and energize the people you work with. Contribute to the team, and make work enjoyable for the people that work with you.
This position means that you will spend up to 6 months with us working closely with your mentor and team to create exciting ideas together. Days and hours are flexible but will require a few late evenings as our Head of PR is based in the US.
Your experience will be a valuable asset
- Currently studying in a relevant field like communications or marketing
- High interest in news, communications, and digital communications
- Basic understanding of the Swedish media landscape, bonus if the US, too
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
- Strong writing skills
We are just getting started
The wellness market is valued at $ 1.5 trillion, where 33% of global consumers during 2022 are expected to increase their engagement in nutrition apps, diet programs, and subscription food services. Why? Because as humans, more and more of us realize that we need to take responsibility for our health and wellness – and that digital is the solution for the individual and society as a whole.
Our internship programs are created to give students the chance to launch into their careers in an industry they are passionate about. We want you to be a part of our team, make an impact, learn, and have fun. We sometimes offer students roles that will make the leap from student to employee in their chosen field. Please note that this will be a six-month unpaid internship based in Stockholm, working part-time, and cross-location with our US team for PR and Content team.
If this sounds exciting, we'd love to hear from you and get to know you. Send us your resume right away; tell us why you are interested and why Lifesum feels like your next career move. Everyone is welcome; we look forward to your application!
